The VCDAssistant and AppleCameraAssistant are two processes that run webcam tasks in the background on your Mac. In this case, the only thing you can do is to contact the Apple service center or to buy a new external webcam for your Mac. If your built-in Mac webcam is not listed in the System Information window, there is most likely a hardware failure or physical damage that has caused it to stop working.
